We have an exciting opening for a Part Time Administration Assistant (20 hours) to work within our small team providing an effective and customer focused housing management service. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills with a view to pursuing a career in the housing or admin sector.

As our Administration Assistant you will support the Management Team in ensuring that the properties we own and manage are maintained to a high standard. Duties will include:

  •  Administering the in-house handyperson service.
  • Obtaining and arranging quotations of works.
  • Issuing Licence / Tenancy Agreements and Handbooks to new Service Users / Tenants, and completing associated paperwork.
  •  Assisting in the running of the annual maintenance programme.
  • Maintaining the list of approved contractors.
  • Vising sites as needed to carry out routine checks or to allow access – own transport is essential for the role.
  • Assisting in arranging and monitoring the carrying out of key health and safety checks across schemes.

You will also be expected to work as part of the wider administrative team as needed – providing a reception and secretarial service and maintaining a safe environment within the office.
You must have excellent communication, problem solving, team-working and organisational skills, as well as an ability to work to deadlines, and a proactive approach to your work.  Previous office experience is required, ideally in a related field such as housing, lettings or property maintenance.  An administrative or housing management qualification would be an advantage.

Hours of work are twenty per week over a minimum of four days’ – specific hours to be agreed on appointment and some flexibility can be offered.
