In 1984 three professionals who worked in the field of mental health in the Leicester area had serious concerns about the amount of patients who kept returning to hospital, mainly due to a lack of appropriate housing and effective community support.

This Psychiatrist, Social Worker and Housing Officer decided to do something about it and started up Norton House (now Norton Housing and Support).

Now, thirty five years on, whilst our service has grown our values and ethos remain the same. We continue to provide excellent support and accommodation, empowering service users to be reach their own level of independence in a safe and secure environment.
