As a Warden, you will work in up to three of our supported flats schemes, two of which are located in Leicester and one in Oadby, providing tenancy support to adults with mental health needs.

Duties include:
Having regular contact with tenants, reporting any concerns regarding their wellbeing to the Supported Housing Officer.
Ensuring tenants are aware of their health and safety responsibilities and encouraging them to report any concerns.
Ensuring communal areas are free from hazards.
Ensuring the property is maintained in a good condition both internally and externally and reporting promptly any maintenance issues

We are able to offer up to 16.5 hours of work across all three locations, and have both weekday and weekend work available. In order to suit the needs of our tenants, shifts will preferably begin between 3.30pm-6pm, but some flexibility can be offered, particularly at weekends.  The salary for the role is £8.21 per hour.

There is scope for additional hours to cover staff absence as well as availability of Personal Assistant / Floating Support work for the right candidate. Due to the flexible nature of the role,
it offers a fantastic chance for students to gain experience and knowledge whilst studying.

The successful candidate will have a positive approach to promoting independence and excellent communication and organisational skills. Experience of working in the mental health or care sector is desirable.

As the role involves working in multiple locations, own transport is preferable (travel expenses between locations paid at 0.45p per mile).

Our commitment to quality includes a strong focus on staff development, and we have held Investors in People status since 2012. We offer a comprehensive induction programme, with appropriate training opportunities going forward.

Please read the Job Description and  Person Specification for the role.  If you wish to apply, please email us at info@nortonhousingandsupport.org.uk, with your CV and a covering letter outlining how your skills and experience meet the requirements of the Person Specification

Closing date for applications is 12 noon on Friday 5th July.

Any offer of employment is subject to two satisfactory references and a DBS check.

We are an Equal Opportunities Employer, so please inform us of any special needs you may have, particularly for the interview.
