Because of the nature of this post, it is only open to female applicants and is exempt under Schedule 9 Part 1 Equalities Act 2010.

In August 2018, we expanded our services so that we could also help young women facing homelessness. Since the scheme opened, it has gone from strength to strength and we have developed an excellent relationship with the local authority’s housing team. So much so, that we are actively progressing plans to develop a second scheme. As our new Housing Management Officer, it is hoped you will be part of this exciting journey and it may be possible for the expanded service to offer scope for career development, although this cannot be guaranteed at this stage.

The role itself involves responsibility for the day-to-day management of the 7-bed scheme located in the East of Leicester, providing advice and an intensive housing management service to vulnerable women who may be pregnant or have children. The focus is on enabling residents to maximise their independence, maintain their licence agreement, and seek secure and appropriate move on accommodation, largely through liaison with the local authority’s housing team.

You will need experience of housing management in supported accommodation, preferably with vulnerable women, have a positive approach to promoting independence, be an effective team player and have excellent communication and organisational skills. You will also need a working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Outlook. A full driving licence is desirable.
Working hours are 8.30am-4.30pm, Monday to Friday.

As well as a thorough induction and ongoing opportunities for professional development, we offer:

· 25 days’ annual leave plus 8 bank holidays, pro rata.
· Additional annual leave for long service
· Health Plan, allowing you to claim back a wide range of everyday health expenses up to your annual limit, access to a 24-hour counselling service, tax and legal support, and shopping discounts.
· Attractive pension scheme
