We’re looking for new Trustees to help shape the future of NH&S and are looking to recruit for the following position in 2021:
- A Trustee with housing association or housing management experience.
Develop our vision
Our Board of Trustees set the direction of NH&S, oversee the finances and service delivery to make sure we keep on track. They are also involved in our big projects such as new developments and fundraising.
Our Trustees come from diverse backgrounds but we want to continue to increase the diversity of the Board and ensure it reflects the diverse communities of Leicester and Leicestershire.

What it involves
The role of the Board is to be an effective, governing body which provides leadership for our activities and performance. Trustees are individually responsible for contributing to our strategic direction.
Board meetings take place 6 weekly either at our Leicester office or online, generally on a Thursday from 4.30pm.
Trustee positions are voluntary but out of pocket expenses can be reimbursed.
Trustees should have:
- Commitment to the mission and values of NH&S
- Understanding of and commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion
- An ability to work effectively as part of a team
- An ability to think creatively and strategically
- An understanding and acceptance of the legal duties and responsibilities of Trustees
- The time to commit to being a Trustee
