Our high quality Personal Assistance Service provides specialist support to enable clients to live independently in their own homes. We are currently recruiting for Personal Assistants (Mental Health), initially offered on a zero-hours contract basis. We could offer up to around 16 hours of work per week. Weekend work is not normally required and support hours are generally between 8.30am-5pm Monday to Friday.
As a Personal Assistant, you will work with Service Users in their own homes and in the community giving them emotional support, assisting them with budgeting, income or benefits, providing social support or help to cook or shop. There is no personal care involved.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in the mental health or care sector, have a positive approach to promoting independence, be an effective team player and have excellent communication and organisational skills. As the role involves working in multiple locations, a driving licence and own transport is essential.
The salary is £8.21 per hour. Any offer of employment is subject to two satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check. A refundable deposit of £30 is required towards the cost of the DBS check, which is returned upon completion of three months’ service.
